Yoga, which literally translated means “Union”, is a system of exercises for attaining well-being of body, mind, and spirit. It aims to bring about the union of the human spirit with the universal spirit.
Hatha yoga (yoga of the body) is the part of yoga that is most popular in America today. The two major components of hatha yoga — physical postures (called "Asanas" in Sanskrit) and breathing exercises — serve to strengthen the body, balance emotions, and promote relaxation.
All yoga classes offered at AIM Center are designed for beginning yoga students and for those who have never attended a yoga class. Our instructors also offer one-on-one Yoga Therapy sessions to create a plan based upon your specific health challenges and goals.
